# Viewing Data Relationships with Unified Lineage

Unified lineage gives you a complete view of how your data objects are connected. Use it to understand data journeys, dependencies, and the downstream impact of changes such as applying tags or updating objects

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>All Editions</strong> supported by Data 360. Unified lineage is a visual relationship graph that shows how your data objects are connected. It provides visibility into how data moves across sources, transformations, and activations so you can trace dependencies, audit governance, and assess impact before making changes.

Unified lineage is automatically available in all customer orgs and no setup is required. When enabled, a background job collects lineage for all existing objects. Subsequent updates are captured incrementally as new objects are created or modified.

## Supported Object Types

Object-level lineage is available for:

- Data streams and their connection info
- Data lake objects and unstructured data lake objects
- Data transforms
- Data model objects and unstructured data model objects
- Calculated Insights
- Segments
- Activations
- Identity Resolutions
- Semantic Data Models
- Data Graphs
- Data Shares

Field-level lineage is available for a subset of these objects:

- Data Lake Objects
- Data Transforms
- Data Model Objects
- Calculated Insights
- Segments
- Activations
- Data Graphs
- Identity Resolutions
- Data Shares
