# Create Queries in Query Editor

Build Data 360 SQL queries on Data Lake Objects (DLOs), Data Model Objects (DMOs), Calculated Insights Objects (CIOs), and data graphs.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small permission">
        <colgroup>
          <col style="width:50%">
          <col style="width:50%">
        </colgroup>
        <thead class="slds-text-title_caps ">
          <tr class="">
            <th scope="colgroup" class="slds-cell-wrap" colspan="2" style="text-align:left;vertical-align:top;" id="d183985e38">User Permission Set
              Needed</th>
          </tr>
        </thead>
        <tbody>
          <tr class="">
            <td data-label="User Permission Set Needed" class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d183985e38 ">To create queries:</td>

            <td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d183985e38 ">Data Cloud Activation Specialist</td>

          </tr>
        </tbody>
      </table>

To query a Data 360 object, you must have dataspace access to that object. For more information about data space aware objects, see [Data Space Aware Objects and Features](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_data_space_aware_features.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "User access to data space-aware objects and features is controlled by setting the object permissions and feature permissions in the user's permission sets. Not all objects and features are data space aware.").

1. In Data Cloud, go to the Query Editor tab.
2. Select a workspace or create a workspace.

    A workspace defines which objects and metadata your queries can access.
3. In the left pane, select a Data Cloud object.
4. From the dropdown list, select how you want to create the query.
5. Customize and build a query based on your requirements. The editor suggests the fields as you build the query.

    You can also add other Data Cloud objects and query across multiple objects using SQL joins. For help with Data Cloud SQL, see [Get Started With Data Cloud SQL](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/data/data-cloud-query-guide/guide/dc-query-section.html).
6. Choose **Run Query** and view the results.
7. To keep the query for future reference, choose **Save**.
