# Find External Activation Platform Segments in Cloud File Storage

After admins install your external activation platform, you can receive segments to Cloud File Storage (Amazon S3). For each activation target, you receive a success file, metadata file, and activation output files once a day for each identifier type when the output is grouped by user identifiers (PER\_USER). Because files arrive only once a day, there’s a delay between Data 360 customers updating segments and those changes arriving to S3.

1. Log in to Cloud File Storage.
2. Go to the bucket that you provided in the Bucket Name field when you created your external activation platform.
3. Go to s3://{Bucket-Name}/{Date}/{Account-ID}/{Activation-Run-ID}/type={ID-Type}/.

Segments publish every 24 hours as multiple CSV, NDJSON, or Parquet files. Multiple partial files are delivered for each identifier type when the output is grouped by user identifiers (PER\_USER), and each partial file is an individually compressed GZIP file. When the activation output is grouped by segments (PER\_SEGMENT), the refresh schedule is tied to the segment publish schedule.
