# Mapping Org IDs

The internal organization ID is commonly referred to as the Salesforce.com Organization ID or simply the Org ID. It’s a reference ID to the business unit or other internal organization that owns the data record and is a standard audit field for every standard DMO. However, this reference ID value is not populated by the CRM connector.

- The Internal Organization ID is not mapped automatically for CRM sources:
    - It is also not mapped for CRM connected or remote orgs.
    - For other sources it is meant to be sub-scope or tenant ID and can be queried or searched.
- Data Source and Data Source Object are system fields and the mapping is managed by the system.
    - For the home org:
        - Data Source has a static value of "Salesforce\_Home" and can be queried or searched.
        - Data Source Object gets a value of the source Object name and can be queried or searched.
    - For connected or remote orgs:
        - Data Source gets a static value of "Salesforce\_{OrgId}" and can be queried or searched.
        - Data Source Object has a value of the source Object name and can be queried or searched.
