# Optimize Identity Resolution

Consider these best practices and troubleshooting tips for the data you bring in and send out of Data 360 to get the most of your unified profiles.

## Review Source Data

Note Complete all required mappings for identity resolution before getting started.

Verify that data ingestion and modeling from your source data to Data 360 was successful.

## Review Summary Statistics and Unified Profiles

Verify that summary statistics and unified profiles make sense based on your source data after creating your ruleset.

| Question to Consider | How to Verify |
| --- | --- |
| Does the consolidation rate make sense for your data source? | Check the consolidation rate for your ruleset against what you know about how clean your data sources are. You can review the consolidation rate in the Identity Resolution Summary, using the Identity Resolution Tableau Dashboard, or by creating a calculated insight. |
| Do your unified profiles have the expected information? | Use the Profile Explorer or the Identity Resolution Tableau Dashboard to review random unified profiles for accurate values. |
