# Guidelines and Limits for Automations

You can configure automations based on your requirements using the Data 360 actions. When planning an automation, make sure to review the guidelines and limits. Throttling limits the maximum number of API requests triggered within a specified time period.

### Required Editions

| Data ingestion (Salesforce CRM and Amazon S3 data streams) | 4 times in a 24-hour period per data stream |
| Calculated insights | 3 times in a 24-hour period per calculated insight |
| Identity resolution | 4 times in a 24-hour period per ruleset job |
| Segmentation and activation | 6 times in a 24-hour period per segment |

The API requests are triggered from a flow, a schedule, and manually from the UI by clicking **Run**. You can disable schedule (if available) for an action to avoid triggering API requests multiple times.
