# Use the Data Q&A Agent

Ask the Data 360 Data Q&A Agent questions in natural language to explore your data, review the responses and generated queries, and refine your analysis with follow-up questions.

### Required Editions

## Ask Questions

1. In Data 360, open the Data 360 Data Q&A Agent chat panel.
2. In the chat input field, type your question or request in natural language. Examples:
    - What are the top 10 best performing products in Q3 in terms of revenue?
    - Show me customer engagement trends by segment over the last 6 months.
    - Generate a chart comparing deal sizes by region.
3. Press Enter or click **Send**.

The agent processes your question, generates a SQL query, executes it, and returns a response with explanations, data tables, and charts as appropriate.

## Review Responses

The response can include:

- An explanation of the findings
- Data table with query results
- Charts or visualizations
- Notes about how the agent interpreted your question

Click **View More Details** to see how the agent processed your question. The details section shows:

- **Objects Used:** Which data objects the query accessed
- **Steps Performed:** How the agent broke down and processed your request
- **Assumptions:** Any assumptions the agent made about your question
- **Generated Query:** The actual SQL query that was executed
- **Confidence Score:** How confident the agent is in its response

## Refine Your Analysis

Ask follow-up questions to refine, modify, or get more detail about the results. Examples:

- Show me the same data for Q4.
- Filter that to only include active accounts.
- Explain how you calculated that metric.
- Fix the query to use amount\_usd instead.

Provide feedback using the thumbs up or thumbs down buttons to help improve the agent's responses.

## Example Conversation Flow

**You:** Show me the top 3 opportunities by deal size.

**Agent:** The top 3 opportunities are all clustered just under $200K, led by Perez Homes - Q1 Renewal at $199.7K.

**Note from Agent:** I interpreted deal size as amount\_usd\_\_c. This ranking was across all opportunities in the dataset, with no extra filters for stage, owner, or date.
