Before you create an Amazon Kinesis data action target, create and validate an Amazon Kinesis target connector. For more information, see [Set Up an Amazon Kinesis Target Connection](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_set_up_an_amazon_kinesis_target_connection.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Send data action events from Data 360 to an Amazon Kinesis data stream. Use an access key or Salesforce as an OpenID Connect identity provider.").

1. In Data 360, go to the Data Actions Target tab, and click **New**.
2. Enter the data action target name.

The API Name field is automatically populated.
3. For the data action target type, select **Amazon Kinesis**.
4. Select the Amazon Kinesis target connection that you created, and then click **Save and Publish**.

Create a data action that uses this target. Choose the data space and the data model object (DMO) or calculated insights object (CIO) whose record creation, update, and delete events you want to track. For more information, see [Create a Data Action](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_create_a_data_action_in_customer_data_platform.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use a data action to send an alert or event to targets such as Salesforce Platform, Webhook, or Marketing Cloud Engagement, or Amazon Kinesis. Create the data action to focus on near real-time events and insights at different levels, including the channel, product, account, service, or individual.").
