1. In Data 360, go to the Data Actions tab.
2. Open a data action with draft status and click **Create Data Extension**.
3. Click **Create**. The data extension is created in the folder path Data Extensions-> Salesforce CDP-> Data Actions Data Extensions in Marketing Cloud Engagement.
4. Create a [Journey builder API event](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mc_jb_api_entry_source_use_case_1.htm&type=5&language=en_US) in Marketing Cloud that uses this data extension name.
5. In Data 360, edit the corresponding data action target and select the Journey Builder API Event that you created. After saving, the status of the data action target and the data action becomes active.

    - After the data extension is created, if the schema for the DMO or CIO attributes is updated, click **Sync Data Extension** to get the latest changes to the data extension.
    - The data extension created within Data 360 isn’t deleted if the corresponding data action and the data action target are deleted.
