# Set Up Clean Room Identity Boost

Setting up and using a clean room identity boost involves steps for both the provider and the consumer. The provider creates a package and sets up their Snowflake environment. The consumer installs the package, creates a collaboration, and maps their data. After the provider accepts the invitation and runs the enrichment job, Data 360 automatically refreshes the enriched data in the consumer's org.

Important Identity boost shares personally identifiable information (PII) in unhashed form with the identity provider. Before mapping your data, make sure that you have all required consumer consents and that you comply with applicable data usage agreements and privacy regulations. Data processing can occur outside your Salesforce region.

1. Provider: Create a clean room package that includes the identity boost use case, and publish it to AppExchange.

Creating an identity boost package requires a Developer Edition packaging org. Install the package, create the collaboration, and accept the invitation in an Enterprise Edition home org. See [Create a Clean Room Package](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_crc_create_clean_room_package.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Providers can offer clean room packages that contain collaboration templates on AppExchange. Consumers interested in collaborating on your data can download the clean room package and initiate a collaboration.").
2. Consumer: In an Enterprise Edition home org, install the package from AppExchange.

If the provider is a trusted partner, the consumer can allowlist the provider to access supported use cases without deploying a package. See [Deploy a Clean Room from an AppExchange Package](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_crc_deploy_cr_from_appexchange.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "To initiate a collaboration with a provider, install a clean room package from AppExchange and deploy it in Data 360 .") or [Allowlist a Clean Room Provider](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_crc_allowlist_clean_room_provider.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "To collaborate directly with a trusted provider, add them to your Data 360 org allowlist. When you add a collaborator to your allowlist, you don't need a clean room package to create a clean room collaboration with them.").
3. Consumer and provider: Create mapped templates so that each party maps data to the required collaboration fields.

The consumer maps Data 360 DMO fields to the provider's required attributes. Review the data-sharing disclaimer carefully before proceeding because this use case shares PII with the provider in unhashed form. See [Map Data for a Clean Room Use Case](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_crc_map_data_for_a_usecase.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create a mapped template to save your data mappings for a specific use case. You can create a template before a clean room collaboration is active. You can also map your data while creating a collaboration or accepting an invitation to collaborate.").
4. Consumer: Create a collaboration using the identity boost use case and send an invitation to the provider.

See [Create a Clean Room Collaboration and Invite a Provider](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_crc_create_collaboration.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "To initiate a collaboration in a Data 360 clean room, you first create a collaboration. You can use an existing collaboration template to map your data or create one. When you save the collaboration, an invite is sent to the provider.").
5. Provider: In an Enterprise Edition home org, in the Invitation Acceptance wizard, set up the Snowflake environment and establish the trust relationship with Snowflake.

See [Accept or Reject a Clean Room Invitation](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_crc_accept_reject_invitation.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "If you’re a provider, when you receive an invitation to a Data 360 clean room collaboration, you can accept or reject the request. If you accept, you can choose how to map your data for the collaboration.").

After the provider accepts, Data 360 creates a clean room-aware Snowflake data share target and shares the consumer's mapped DMO data to the provider's Snowflake environment.
6. Provider: Run the enrichment job on the shared consumer data, then write enriched output tables to the consumer's Snowflake schema.

Data 360 automatically refreshes the enriched data in the consumer org. Data 360 reads enriched output tables from the provider's Snowflake schema through a (Bring Your Own Lake) BYOL connection, creates Data Lake Objects (DLOs) and enriched DMOs in the consumer org, and sets the collaboration status to Active.
7. Consumer: After refresh completes, use the enriched DMOs in the Data 360 org for activation use cases.
