# Share Data with Snowflake (Legacy)

To access Data 360 data, create a data share that contains Data 360 objects. You can access Data 360 objects as views in a Snowflake account. When data is available in Snowflake, you can work on harmonized and unified data.

![Important](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-data-data_cloud-264-0-0-production-enus/f3569962-3c9b-4f83-9d0c-b6a574e785da/images/icon_important.png)

Important You can’t create legacy Snowflake data share targets. [Create a Snowflake V2 data share target](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_create_data_share_target_snowflakev2.htm&type=5&language=en_US) instead, and link your existing and new data shares to it. Migrate existing data shares that are linked to a legacy Snowflake data share target to a Snowflake V2 data share target. See [Migrate Data Shares with Legacy Snowflake Data Share Target](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_migrate_data_shares_legacy_snowflake.htm&type=5&language=en_US). Don’t unlink an existing data share from its legacy target until you verify that the Snowflake V2 connection works. Downstream processes in Snowflake can refer to the database that was created using the legacy target.

Before you begin:

- Make sure that your Snowflake admin adds the [Data 360 IP Addresses](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_data_cloud_ip_address_allowlist.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Data 360 uses these IP addresses to communicate with external services such as Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure blob storage, Snowflake, or SFTP. If your security policy requires a strict network ACL (access control list), make sure to include these IP addresses to your allowlists.") to the allowlist.
- Verify [Supported Data 360 Regions for Snowflake Integration](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_data_shares_aws_supportability_snowflake.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Data 360 supports integration with Snowflake in these regions.").

1. Identify the Data 360 objects you want to access and create a data share in Data 360.

For more information, see [Create a Data Share](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_create_data_shares.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Select the Data 360 objects that you want to include in a data share to share with an external system.").
2. Create users in Snowflake and obtain the user credentials.

For more information, see [Get User Credentials from Snowflake](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_get_user_details_snowflake.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Gather the user information and authentication details in Snowflake to create a data share target.").
3. To establish connectivity with a Snowflake account, create a data share target in Data 360.

For more information, see [Create Data Share Target and Connect with Snowflake](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_create_data_share_target_snowflake.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create a data share target in Data 360 to establish connectivity with a Snowflake account.").
4. To make the Data 360 objects accessible in Snowflake, link the data share with the data share target.

For more information, see [Link or Unlink Data Shares and Data Share Targets](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_link_data_shares_with_data_share_target.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Link data shares with a data share target to make them available to an external system. You can also unlink a data share from a data share target.").
5. View the data share in Snowflake.
    1. Select the data share from private sharing in the Snowflake account.
    2. Create a database on the data share.

To view the Data 360 objects in the database login as an ACCOUNTADMIN. You can query the data and create joins across Data 360 and Snowflake tables. If you’re using the classic console, the data shares are available on the Inbound tab.
