Overview

This release supersedes all of the previous releases. The exact release version is 9.8.1 r25931. The prior production release is Release Notes for Modern POS Version 9.7.1.

Known Issues

Bug fixes and enhancements included in this build are only targeted for Omnichannel (v2) Overview. Omni V1 was not tested for this build and is not considered supported on this and future versions of the POS app.
Note: For app versions 9.6.1 and above, if a product with a bottle deposit value of 0 is added to the cart, the bottle deposit field will be hidden in offline mode. In online mode, the field will remain visible but display a value of 0.

Bug Fixes


Order Management Added support for external scanners in Buy Online, Fulfill In-Store (BOFIS) shipping tracking number field. Fixed issue where the "Applying" spinner displayed for an extended period when PO history filters were used without a date. Fixed issue where attempting to search for an order by product ID during the Returns & Exchanges process incorrectly triggered a "Sorry! We cannot refund this order!" error message.
Payments Updated handling of repeated cashout failures for gift cards via Adyen terminals. Updated processing for failed refunds involving gift card cashouts for Verifone terminals. Resolved issue where the app became unresponsive when closing the credit card search prompt on Verifone terminals. Addressed connection failures during order credit card (CC) searches in 1:N terminal topology configurations. Corrected terminal input field layout issues when "Cancel" is selected on Verifone terminals.
Crashes Fixed crashes related with disconnection of Socket scanners from the register. Addressed intermittent crashes related to Zebra scanners. Resolved app crashes under poor network conditions. Fixed crashes occurring during document printing via AirPrint on iOS 16 registers. Corrected crashes linked to connecting/disconnecting an Epson printer.
UI/UX Fixed toggle selection UI to display the correct omni fulfillment type upon change. Resolved issue where cart options deep link did not close the interstitial popup. Made customer search results scrollable. Ensured the screen auto-scrolls to display the notes textfield during Buy Online, Pickup In-Store (BOPIS) / Reserve Online, Pickup In-Store (ROPIS) entry. Fixed issue where tapping multiple times on Customer Lookup displayed multiple customer search pages. Updated the product exchange process to reflect changes in return item quantity on the line item UI. Adjusted padding in the return selected page and for the fulfillment grouping label on iPhone. Fixed display of partial shipping method IDs in order details page on iPhone.
Offline Corrected functionality of the reset Zebra deep link (Hamburger Menu) in offline mode. Fixed "Last downloaded at:" timestamp in Offline Logs screen to correctly update for product deltas.
Miscellaneous Fixed the Forgot Password Layout to not retain the last user's details. Addressed issue where Search Product interstitial loaded with a different variant of the searched product. Resolved issues where scanning an order ID or product before associate login displayed incorrect prompts without register information. In Safe Management, corrected app behavior to prevent changing the reason while confirming adjustment amounts. Fixed issue where entering more than 512 characters displayed an "Updating" spinner in safe management.
