Release notes for Modern POS Version 8.8.1, including feature enhancements, bug fixes, and open issues.

## Overview

This release supersedes all of the previous releases. The exact release version is 8.8.1 r24797. ## Feature Enhancements

## Bug Fixes

**Cart**

- Removed auto population of city from zip code when entering address on cart.
- Reset Tender button on multi tender screen doesn't respond when cash drawer is opened using QR code.
- Pickup Info is not auto filled when pickup later item is added in cart and customer is already logged in
- Max transaction discount amount and percentage limit fix

**Payment**

- Incorrect amount being charged on Elavon payment devices when amount is a whole number
- App allow to scan the items when Fiserv terminal update is in progress
- Surface Adyen payment error and display it on POS app instead of generic error message.

**Returns**

- NRR shows in store and online option to add item even when mixed cart is off in Omni V2 settings.
- Not able to proceed with return when GC + Cash is the refund opiton.
- No receipt return orders showing tax amount $0 in Tlog

**Order Quizzes**

- Check out quiz shows up again if terminal is not connected and quiz is submitted.
- Carousel quiz answers are not saved when quiz is launched from Hamburger menu.
- UI issue fix in loading multi page quiz when answers are deselected on page one.
- Add fix for mandatory option for textfield quiz questions.

**Offline**

- Duplicate online pending orders fix after a network error occurred for multi-tender orders.
- Download Offline Logs - PRODUCTS feed message is wrong after completing download and PROMOTION feed is not getting downloaded
- Incorrect transaction discount when cart is switch from offline to online mode and then quantity of item is increased
- Manager appears as associates when logged in offline mode
- \[UAT\] Updated the product feed chunk size to optimize the time taken during order placement.

**Receipts**

- Line Truncation support on receipt layouts
- Print receipt with invalid logo images on receipts and improve error messaging on failure to print.

**UI**

- On iPhone devices, show the associate role's abbreviation when "Show Associate Name When Logged In" setting is disabled on CMS
- Store Address is getting cut off from cart item cell if it's too long
- App shows the english label for "printing declined receipt. Keep application in foreground" instead of localized string.
- Order Summary section getting cut off when partial payment is applied.
- UI issue on return screen when multiple items are added doing rapid scan.
- Fix truncation of field names on Inventory overview screen
- PDP shows incorrect prices for items for regions where thousand separator is decimal and decimal separator is comma.
- \[UAT\] Reset Password UI shows up again even after password has been reset successfully.

**Order History**

- If add notes in Order details page - Newly added note is missing in Receipt

**Permissions**

- User getting "Location Access: Authorized" prompt sometimes when switching merchants or storeId on register

**Session**

- POS warns automatic logout if no activity after Mobile config setting "IdleTime" has expired. Rather than logging out at 30 seconds after this warning, POS now logs out at yet another "IdleTime" interval after showing this warning. ( x + 30 + x seconds instead of x + 30 seconds for the warning plus no activity logout).
- After POS has warned of the session expiring, if POS is not interacted with within 30 seconds of tapping "Continue" POS will auto-logout the user.

**Crashes**

- Crash fix on Purchase order history when Printing purchase order
- Deprecate HasMetricKitReporting flag for crash reporting. All merchants will have this enabled by default.

## Open Issues

**Return**

- App doesn't allow to update the return quantity of items if order status is "Ready". (#39707)
- Incorrect Tax shown on refund screen when multiple items with multiple quantiy are selected. (#41879)
- Able to redeem gift from No receipt return flow (#41479)
- Able to print Gift receipt when zero alternation item is returned. (#41787)
- When order with a cashed out gift card fails, the gift card will not be automatically reloaded. Manual reconcilation will be required. (#41119)

**Cart**

- Shipping method are reset from cart when In Store item is removed and customer is logged in. (#41003)
- When same item is eligible for two different promotions warning message is shown instead of promotion discount(# 41753)
- When $0.00 transaction discount is applied, it doesn't show up on cart summary.(#41880)

**Payment**

- When terminal topology is 1:N and terminal is not connected, App start the credit card payment when any gift card flow is initiated. (#41902)
- Reset tenders will show up in failed order report w/ Failed order reason: "Backend Failure" when phase 2 fails. (#41865)

**Offline**

- Printing of an offline order fails in some scenarios when there is already a pending offline order for sync. (#41038)
- PRODUCTS feed message is wrong after download is completed (#41810)
- Warning message when promotion is valid but not eligible on cart. (#41475)
- When scan same product using external scanner continuously, the product is getting added to cart as separate line item instead of increasing the QTY in single line item (#40204)
- When offline feed processing is interrupted by putting app in background, the offline feed update may be stuck on next feed refresh time.(#41809)

**UI**

- Product images shows as too small on clienteling wishlist, closet, cart carousels when multiple field are configured in Product Cell Configuration (#41736)
- Buy All button on PDP bundle screen launches barcode scan flow (#41706)
- Order Status label shows in different color and font size for some scenarios. (#41701)

**Receipts**

- Gift receipt not getting printed for exchanged order.(#41885)
- Incorrect tax name is show on receipt when exchange done is of $0.00 (#41884)
