Overview

This release supersedes all of the previous releases. The exact release version is 8.7.3 r24720. The prior production release is Release notes for Modern POS Version 8.4.1.

Cart

  • If Auto Apply Store Credit is enabled, Associate unable to apply the pickup info and pickup date.
  • App does not allow to add different omni types from PDP when any one omni type's maximum quantity reached
  • After reset tender, cart is not refreshed.
  • When scan the serialized product, If default fulfillment type is "ship To Home/ship To current store", getting serial number prompt
  • Validation message is not showing if add Ship to home (current store) and ship to home current store
  • Store address is showing instead of Shipping address when resume the cart
  • Edit Order flow was not showing the correct price for items

Offline

  • EJ Entry: The 'Variance' value is wrong. Instead of the variance amount the reconcile amount is getting displayed
  • If I scan the NRR item via external scanner; App shows "In store or Online fulfilment is not configured"
  • After switching offline to online; App get sign out, Even I click the continue button in session expiry warning popup.
  • Offline Vitals registered for POS even though it wasnt offline.
  • Add mandatory billing address in offline cart.

Offline Promotions

  • Add return product to cart and then add new product with promotion. Now delete the newly added product, promotion amount is not removed from summary
  • Bogo "Exactly operator" is not working when treatEachItemInCartAsSeparateLineItem and "disable proration" is enabled
  • Bogo "Atleast operator" with auto promo code is not working when treatEachItemInCartAsSeparateLineItem is enabled and uncheck "Disable proration"
  • Bogo "At least operator" with manual promo code is not working when treatEachItemInCartAsSeparateLineItem is enabled

Crashes

  • WatchDog Crash: Download Tab Images
  • WatchDog Crash: Ensure Auto-Login Calls are on Background Thread
  • In profile page when add item to cart from wishlist page and then move to profile page and scroll to right side

Order History

  • If place order with "Pickup in store" item with Omni off - pickup in store Item is missing in Omni on
  • Return item shows "no note" even if it had some note when exchange item is also added in cart.

PDP

  • Add-on Product options Disappearing after selecting Product Variant

Inventory

  • Non-merchandise products with track inventory disabled, Not able to add item to cart from PDP

UI

  • On iPhone 14 Pro devices, "Continue Shopping" button hidden in Order confirmation.
  • GC Return product UI issue in cart page

Store Operations

  • When closing the store for an older date. Close store button retains old date.

Device Manager

  • Terminal model - Serial number is missing once placed order with card tender

Order History

  • If add notes in Order details page - Newly added note is missing in Receipt (#40866)

Return

  • App doesn't allow to update the return quantity of items if order status is "Ready". (#39707)

Crashes

  • When resuming heavy cart (#41046)
  • When 'Download All' button is clicked when bring the App to Foreground when the POS is due for feed download refresh time (#41004)

UI

  • Store Address is getting cut off from cart item cell if it's too long (#41145)
  • On iPhone devices, associate initials are not being shown on the associate's loggedIn button when "Show Associate Name When Logged In" setting is disabled on CMS (first character of the associateId is shown instead) (#41253)
  • App shows the english label for "printing declined receipt. Keep application in foreground" instead of localized string. (#41261)

Cart

  • If change the fulfillment type "Take with" to "Try At Store" - Item disappears but cart count is still not updated (#41098)
  • Pickup Info is not auto filled when pickup later item is added in cart and customer is already logged in (#41089)
  • Shipping method are reset from cart when In Store item is removed and customer is logged in. (#41003)
  • No receipt return orders showing tax amount $0 in Tlog. (#41041)

Payments

  • App allow to scan the items when Fiserv terminal update is in progress. (#39706)

Permissions

  • User getting "Location Access: Authorized" prompt sometimes when switching merchants or storeId on register (#40293)

Offline

  • Download Offline Logs - PRODUCTS feed message is wrong after completing download and PROMOTION feed is not getting downloaded (#41012)
  • Duplicate Order Id is getting displayed on pending order screen after a network error occurred for multi-tender phase 2 submit. (#41185)
  • Printing of an offline order fails in some scenarios when there is already a pending offline order for sync. (#41038)

Quiz

  • Add 'Short answer layout' in OrderSuccessQuizLayout and verify by enabling and disabling the 'Is Mandatory' field in the Question (#40920)

Session

  • POS warns automatic logout if no activity after Mobile config setting "IdleTime" has expired. Rather than logging out at 30 seconds after this warning, POS now logs out at yet another "IdleTime" interval after showing this warning. ( x + 30 + x seconds instead of x + 30 seconds for the warning plus no activity logout). (#41286)
    • Work Around: If the desired automatic logout is "idleTime", please reduce your "IdleTime" by half. i.e. 120 seconds will need to be 60 seconds.
  • After POS has warned of the session expiring, if POS is not interacted with within 30 seconds of tapping "Continue" POS will auto-logout the user. (#41743)

Failed Orders

  • In the scenario where user reset tenders in the cart and PS backend returns an error, the failed order reason in CMS Failed Order Report will be "Backend Failure" instead of "User Cancelled".
