Overview

This release supersedes all of the previous releases. The exact release version is 8.4.1 r24464. The prior production release is Release notes for Modern POS Version 8.3.1.

Feature Enhancements

  • Beta: Omni flows for checkout
  • Configure printer and payment terminal Hardware Topology Setup at register level
  • Configure Current Register Hardware deep link to show configuration level (store/register/user) for each configuration
  • Show total item scanned count in ASN and Store transfer details screen
  • Pulled out: Elavon virtual receipts display on Pinpads. (This was added in 8.3.1 and issues were discovered during load testing)

Bug Fixes

  • Cart
    • Deposit toggle incorrectly disabled after editing order
    • NRR tax displayed in return cart summary when No Receipt Tax Returns disabled.
    • Edit order flow was not blocked for NFM pending orders
    • Skip auto applying deposit while editing order if the original order had one
    • Fix order date in order details
    • Cart screen to show both build and version number
    • Fix adding product with empty serial number to cart from product search
    • Disable subsequent Add To Cart button action while initial action is in progress
    • Hide any dropdown when scrolling starts on cart screen
  • UI
    • Product without images shows fulfillment type label in order detail page.
  • Offline
    • Incorrect pending Order count when there is online and offline pending orders to be synced
    • Order status is showing as Failed instead of Completed after syncing an offline order
    • App crashed when switch to offline mode after adding products to cart in online mode
    • Remaining balance $0.01 fix in some cases on multi tender screen when full amount is paid by card tender and tip is applied.
    • Clear Cart if it has online + in store items and show a warning message, when app is switched from online to offline to avoid incorrect tax calculation logic
    • Fix for original price of items missing in tlog when price correction is applied in an offline order
  • Offline Promotions
    • $0.01 difference fix in some cases in cart summary when promotions are applied in offline mode as compared to in online mode.
  • Returns
    • Showing incorrect products when exchange is blocked during the return process
    • Incorrect tax compute error when performing NRR
    • Fix Optional Serial Number Quantity on Manual Return
    • Tax are getting calculated incorrectly for return product with applied promotion
    • Fix optional serial number on manual return
    • In Return Selected Products page, When QTY is changed the Deposit amount is getting displayed with wrong value
    • Tax amount not getting displayed in return flow for NRR return products when scanned from Product Search page
    • Pass selected Item EPC during return flow
  • Tills
    • Not displaying create till prompt after logout/login in in offline mode
  • Payments
    • Abort payment button for Elavon terminals not working
    • After canceling PBL payment, reset tender popup closes immediately after prompt
    • In store PBL hardening for intranet failure scenarios
    • Disable auto connecting of Elavon terminal when app is moved from online to offline and cart has some items
  • Receipts
    • Spacing issue for Elavon virtual receipt when displaying tax percentage and value
    • Do not print merchant copy receipt on reprint
    • If Receipt Layouts are enabled, POS should only use Store Settings to decide offline print enable/disable.
  • Inventory Management
    • Disable Subsequent create Blind Receiving action when one is already in progress
  • Customer logged out if applied tenders are not reset or empty
  • Fix create purchase order scan with Scandit

Open Issues

  • Cart
    • Able to purchase reward with past expiry date.
    • Canceled item in edit order PDP shows price as $0.00
    • Navigate to Cart Page via Message and observe top section contents overlaps with time/date/battery indicators
    • App doesn't ask for serial number of items when added from customer wishlist screen
    • When treatEachItemInCartAsSeparateLineItem is disabled and ShowInStoreItemsSeparate is enabled, app is not working properly on offline mode
    • Sale price overlaps with subtotal price on cart item cell when the price value is too long.
    • App shows the credit balance of customer even after cart is suspended and customer is logs out
    • Incorrect tax breakout is shown then item with tier taxes are added in the cart
  • Offline Promotions
    • Incorrect error message is shown when Can Be Combined With other promotion functionality is unchecked
    • Priority promotion doesn't working properly in offline mode.
    • BOGO with price override unchecked not working correctly
  • Return
    • Quantity drop down position issue when selecting a return item
    • App doesn't allow to update the return quantity of items if order status is Ready.
  • Clienteling
    • Incorrect associate Id shows up when creating customer notes on Clienteling screen
  • Offline
    • Not on file item price calculation is not correct when price correct + transaction discount is applied in offline mode and switch to online mode again
    • No error is shown when invalid tax exempt is applied.
    • Tax override reverts to default value when 0% override is applied.
    • Remaining balance of $0.01 appears in some cases on multi tender screen when full amount is paid by card tender and tip is applied.
    • App doesn't switch to offline mode when omni fulfillment flag is on and cart is empty during switch
    • 0.01 difference in calculation between offline vs online orders
    • For offline placed order if ShowTaxBreakouts flag in mobile config is set to False, in CMS, EJ -> View Receipt, taxTotal shows $0.00
    • If coupon code (for Fixed Price promotion which has price override checked) is added manually and then try to apply product level discount more than promotion discount, the coupon code does not disappear from coupon cell
  • Crashes
    • App crashes sometimes when auto login happens during launch
  • Device Manager
    • Terminal model/serial number doesn't shown up device manager once an order is placed with the terminal
    • Socket scanner model name shows twice in hardware configuration popup
  • Payments
    • App allow to scan the items when Fiserv terminal update is in progress.
  • Order History
    • Order search popup doesn't show the correct store Id when screen is launched first time.
  • Purchase Order
    • When an item is scanned in manual purchase order and not added, App shows the Create Button and allows to create PO order without any items in it.
  • OS
    • In iPad OS 14 Voice search command is not working properly
