In 2024, Salesforce acquired PredictSpring, a provider of modern retail point-of-sale (POS) software built natively in the cloud. PredictSpring was renamed Retail Cloud and is now called Point of Sale. You may still see references to Modern POS,PredictSpring or Retail Cloud in the Point of Sale app and in our documentation.
Customer support for PredictSpring on Zendesk retired in February ‘26. Salesforce Help is the new home for the Point of Sale support experience. POS releases features more frequently than three times per year. See Release Notes for Features Released Monthly.
