## Core Platform

## Enhanced Voice Command in POS App

What it does: Voice recognition can now be used to go to 40 different deep links and perform product and customer search in the POS app. Point of Sale uses Speechkit and NLP framework for speech recognition in the POS app. For instance, the voice command "**Show cycle count history**" displays the cycle count history on the app. This feature can improve efficiency, turn on hands-free operation, and enhance accessibility for users with disabilities.

Note Access to the feature is limited to the POS app screens: **Home**, **Cart**, and **Client Profile**.

How to configure: **App Config - Modules - Voice Commands**

What Looks Like:

Learn More: [Speech Recognition](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_pos_settings_speech_recognition_beta.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Turn on speech recognition in the POS app to streamline workflows. With voice commands, users can efficiently access features, turning on hands-free operation, and enhancing accessibility. Configure custom voice commands and deep links in CMS to tailor the experience for different languages and actions within the app.")

## EJ/TLog/JSON Export

## Not on File Metadata Enhancements

What it does: For app builds 9.3.1 and newer, the layout has been enhanced with three optional fields: **Style ID / Variant Group ID**, **Color**, and **Size**. On the layout, the associate can either enter the SKU number or scan the bar code. **Is this a taxable product** determines if the Not-on File product inherits the tax class set in the "**notOnFileProductTaxClass**" or "**notOnFileProductZeroTaxClass**" store settings.

![The POS app shows a prompt for details of a not on file item.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-retail-264-0-0-production-enus/17d647fb-8988-49fb-9add-c4f4cc79c9e4/retail/images/rt_pos_orders_custom_not_on_file_pos2.png)

How to turn on Not-on File functionality:

1. Go to **CMS > Store Management > Store Settings**.
2. Turn on **Is item not on file feature enabled for this merchant**.
3. Save your changes.
4. Go to **Store Management > Store Settings > Modules > Tax**.
5. Add the tax class under "**Not on File item under Tax Class to Be Set for Not on File Items (notOnFileProductTaxClass)**".
6. Add the zero tax class under "**Not on File item under Tax Class to be Set for Not on File Items if the Tax to be charged is 0% (notOnFileProductZeroTaxClass)**".
7. Save your changes.
8. Configure ability to add a Not on File product to the cart:
    1. Edit the app configuration that has the Not on File form.
    2. Go to **Modules > Cart**.
    3. Under **Cart Options Layout**, select the pencil to the right.
    4. Create or select a cell.
    5. On the right toolbar menu, select **Deeplink > Cart Options > Add Product Not on File deep link**.
    6. Set the deep link and save the changes.

## Bank Deposit and Store Close Business Date

What it does: Provides a record of the actual Business Date of a Bank deposit and a Store Close in the [Electronic Journal](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_reports_electronic_journal_overview.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Customize filters for transaction research and record store transactions in Retail Cloud.") (in the event you perform a bank deposit after store close).

![Note](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-retail-264-0-0-production-enus/17d647fb-8988-49fb-9add-c4f4cc79c9e4/images/icon_note.png)

Note For the **Bank Deposit** entry in the Electronic Journal, the date of the store closure is stored in the "**Notes**" column. This is the store date the bank deposit is linked to, not the actual date the deposit happened. The Trans Time in the Electronic Journal records the time and date that the deposit is made—after the store closes.

## Integrations

## New Field Type: Adyen Terminal, Accept Terms and Conditions

What it does: You can ask and track a user's information, like agreeing to terms and conditions, on the Adyen terminal with a layout field type.

How to configure:

1. Create a layout, customize a prebuilt layout, or edit an existing layout to turn on Terminal Input.
2. Add and configure the elements you want to obtain terminal input for. We have a new field type, "**Checkbox with Terminal Input and Terminal Input**".![The Checkbox agreeing to the terms and conditions of Adyen terminal.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-retail-264-0-0-production-enus/17d647fb-8988-49fb-9add-c4f4cc79c9e4/retail/images/rt_releases_bfs_term_input_button_1.png)![The Terminal Input Button in Point of Sale CMS.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-retail-264-0-0-production-enus/17d647fb-8988-49fb-9add-c4f4cc79c9e4/retail/images/rt_releases_bfs_terminal_input_button_2.png)
3. Customize your form elements the way you want them.

Learn More: [Capture Customer Information From Payment Terminal](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_hardware_caputre_cust_info_pay_term.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Allow customers to directly enter information, such as email addresses, on Adyen and Verifone terminals, streamlining data collection. Reduce the need for store associates to verbally collect information. ## Promotions

## Single-Use Promo Codes: API Support

What it does: Single-Use Promo Codes (SUPCs) can be uploaded and accessed in three ways: manual, CSV, scheduled feed, and now through an API. With an API, SUPCs can be fetched, updated, and uploaded to Salesforce, even including expired codes. For promotions exclusively tied to SUPCs, create them. The purpose here is to extract data from the promotion, gaining insight into the included codes and their redemption status. Use this API function to add SUPC codes to the promotion. You can update these promo codes within the same promotion.

Learn More: [Promotions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_promotions.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create promotions and automatically validate those promotions in the Point of Sale (POS) app.") and [API](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/commerce/retail-cloud/guide/retail-cloud-api-spi-webhook-specs.html#promotion-management)

## Inventory

## Webhook for Sale and Refund Inventory Events

What it does: Ability to trigger an inventory adjustment if there's a sale or a return.

How to configure: [https://labs.predictspring.com/cms/custom-api/create/new](https://labs.predictspring.com/cms/custom-api/create/new)

**SALE\_INVENTORY** = This event indicates that an item (or items) has been sold. If this event is triggered, the expectation is that the inventory for the specified item(s) decreases.

**RETURN\_INVENTORY** = This event indicates that an item (or items) has been returned or exchanged. If this event is triggered, the inventory for the specific item(s) increases or adjusts in some manner if it's an exchange.

Learn More: [Promotion Management in the API, SPI, and Webhook Specs](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/commerce/retail-cloud/guide/retail-cloud-api-spi-webhook-specs.html#promotion-management)

## Returns/Refunds/Exchanges

## Default Tender for No Profile, No Card, No Receipt Return

What it does: Ability to set a preferred tender type for the sale portion of the exchange in a No-Receipt Return (NRR) flow. This tender is used as the first tender for the part of the exchange that is bought with returned items because there's no value for an NRR. Any portion of an uneven exchange that requires additional tendering will report the actual tender values used.

The returns and exchanges that inherit the configured default tender as part of No Receipt Returns are listed:

- Returning an item or multiple items (that is, a pure return)
- Returning item(s) along with a purchase where a customer still gets a refund
- Returning item(s) along with a purchase where a customer makes a payment
- Exchanging (even exchange) an item or multiple items
- Exchanging (even exchange) item(s) with purchase

How to configure: [https://labs.predictspring.com/cms/stores/return-policy-config](https://labs.predictspring.com/cms/stores/return-policy-config)

![THe No Receipt Returns settings in Point of Sale CMS.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-retail-264-0-0-production-enus/17d647fb-8988-49fb-9add-c4f4cc79c9e4/retail/images/rt_releases_bfs_nrr.png)

1. Create a return policy (or edit your existing one).
2. Under **Edit Policy**, go to **No Receipt Returns**.
3. Turn on **No Receipt Returns**.
4. Configure the tender type you want as your refund **Tender Type**.
5. Turn on **Requires Manager Approval** if manager login is needed before completing No Receipt Returns in the POS app.
6. Turn on **No Receipt Tax Returns** to calculate tax returns for products that are returned within the POS app.
