# Product Bundles in Point of Sale

A product bundle groups a parent item with required child items. It sells, returns, and ships as one unit.

Each bundle has a parent and one or more children. The parent carries the description, image, and price. Each child keeps its own inventory.

Associates work with the bundle as a single item. It works this way everywhere the bundle appears. That includes product search, the cart, promotions, returns, and store fulfillment. Each child still tracks separately behind the scenes.

Setting up a bundle spans the CMS and the data feed. Configuration includes the bundle's price and contents, its PDP layout, and its receipt template.

To recommend bundles to customers, configure the Bundle recommendation type. See [Configure Product Recommendations for Point of Sale](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_product_recommendations.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure Point of Sale CMS to use customer data to provide tailored product suggestions within the POS app.").

After setup, see how the bundles behave for your associates in the POS app.

- **[Set Up Product Bundle Data Feed for Point of Sale](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_adv_config_data_feeds_specs_product_bundles_v2.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Upload bundle details to the CMS with the Product Bundle feed, an NDJSON file that defines each bundle's price, contents, and images.
- **[Configure PDP Layout for Product Bundle in Point of Sale CMS](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_layouts_templates_pdp_bundle_children.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Map a dedicated product page layout to bundle child products so the POS app shows style choices, availability, and price for the bundle.
- **[Configure Email and Print Templates to Show Product Bundle Details in Point of Sale](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_layouts_templates_email_bundle_children.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Set up email and print templates to show the individual items in a product bundle.
- **[Configure Receipts to Show Product Bundle Children in Point of Sale](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_layouts_receipts_product_bundles.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Add a child-loop row to your receipt template so each bundle's items print together under it, in sales and returns.
- **[How Product Bundles Work in Point of Sale App](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_pos_orders_product_bundles_overview.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
A product bundle pairs a parent item with a set of required child items and behaves as one unit everywhere it appears: product search, the cart, promotions, returns, and store fulfillment.
- **[Priced Bundle Data in Orders and Returns](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_pos_orders_product_bundles_data.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
A bundle's lines appear in Point of Sale order and return data differently than a standalone product's lines do. Use these field definitions and grouping rules to identify a bundle's lines and reconstruct the bundle.
