## Enable BOPIS

Configure a Product Display Page (PDP) layout to let customers select in-store pickup for products.

1. In CMS, go to **Layouts** | **Layout Templates** | **PDP**.
2. Edit an existing PDP layout or create a new one. For more information, see [Product Display Page (PDP) Layouts](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_layouts_templates_pdp.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create a Product Display Page (PDP) in the layout editor. Unlike the template-based PDP V1, this version lets you customize the page layout.").
3. Add a cell in the layout and select it.
4. Click **Cell Content** | **Form Element**.
5. Under **Field Type**, select **Button**.
6. Enter a button text, for example, Pickup In Store.
7. Under **Button Action**, select **Pickup In Store**.
8. (Optional) Configure button UI settings, such as style and icon.
9. Save your changes.

## Configure BOPIS Deep Links

Add deep links to a layout so associates can access BOPIS order management. For more information, see [BOPIS/Store Fulfillment Deep Links](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_layouts_deep_links_bopis_store_fulfillment.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Explore a detailed list of Point of Sale BOPIS/store fulfillment deep links, each with a clear description and supported context. Links include features for order status, fulfillment, history, packing, and pickup. Use these links to help users quickly navigate to specific features and functionality, enhancing their experience and streamlining retail operations.").

Add these deep links:

- Deep link | BOPIS/Store Fulfillment | Store Pickup Order to be Packed
- Deep link | BOPIS/Store Fulfillment | Store Pickup Order to Unpack
- Deep link | BOPIS/Store Fulfillment | Store Ready to Pickup Order
- Deep link | BOPIS/Store Fulfillment | Store Picked Up Order History
- Deep link | BOPIS/Store Fulfillment | Cancelled/ Damaged Store orders

1. In CMS, edit an app config.
2. Go to **Modules** | **BOPIS / Store Fulfillment**.
3. Turn on **BOPIS Item Level Cancelation** and **Enable Item Level Cancellations for BOPIS in Pack Flow**.
4. Save your changes.

## BOPIS Workflow in the POS App

### Pack and Complete Order

Select the Store Pickup Order to be Packed deep link to see orders ready to pack.

Open an order. Each item row shows a pack toggle and a **Cancel Item** button.

To pack items, select the pack toggle for each item and optionally add notes. To cancel individual items, select **Cancel Item**, choose a cancellation reason and quantity, and confirm. Canceled items move to a Cancelled section and inventory returns to stock.

After packing or canceling all items, select **SAVE**. The Order Packed dialog appears. Select **Print Pack Slip** to print the packing slip.

### Process Customer Pickup

Select Store Ready to Pickup Order to see orders ready for pickup. The Last Pickup Date is shown so that store associates can prioritize orders that are close to expiring. Open an order and select **Pick**. Capture the customer's signature and select **DONE**. To cancel and refund, select **Refund** instead. To reprint a packing slip, select **Print Pack Slip** from the order list or order details page.

### Unpack Canceled Orders

When a packed order cancels before pickup, it moves to the unpack section. Unpacking releases the inventory back to stock.

Select the Store Pickup Order to Unpack deep link to see canceled orders eligible for unpacking. Open an order and select **Unpack**. The app confirms the unpack and releases inventory. The order status changes to Cancelled.

View canceled and unpacked orders under Cancelled/ Damaged Store Orders.

### Handle Partially Packed Orders

Partially packed orders show which items remain unpacked. Pack remaining items later or leave them unpacked.

View split orders in CMS under **Orders** | **BOPIS Orders**. Split orders appear with the same order ID but different statuses.

![Split order example showing different statuses in Point of Sale CMS.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-retail-264-0-0-production-enus/17d647fb-8988-49fb-9add-c4f4cc79c9e4/retail/images/rt_pos_orders_fulfill_bopis_bofis_pos_9.png)

## Known Issues and Restrictions

- Point of Sale doesn't support partial refunds for BOPIS orders.
- Multiple associates can process the same order item on different devices simultaneously because the system doesn't mark fulfillment orders as in progress. This can result in duplicate shipments, and the POS app may show an order as Partially Shipped after it's been fully shipped.
- The POS app displays only BOPIS orders updated within the last 30 days.
