# Outlet Store Support in the POS app

Create and manage outlet stores in the Point of Sale (POS) app, providing customers with lower prices and everyday bargains.

There are two ways of creating a store in Point of Sale CMS, manually and through a feed. To create many stores in one sitting, the feed method is recommended. For more information, refer to this [article](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_settings_store_management_stores.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Upload store details to the Point of Sale backend.").

1. In Point of Sale CMS, go to **Store Management > Stores**.
2. Select **Create** in the upper right of the screen.
3. Under **Location Type**, select **Outlet**.
4. Fill out the rest of the fields by referring to [Store Creation](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_settings_store_creation.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create stores and edit store details in Point of Sale CMS"). ![Editing Store Information for an Outlet Store in Point of Sale CMS.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-retail-264-0-0-production-enus/17d647fb-8988-49fb-9add-c4f4cc79c9e4/retail/images/rt_pos_operations_store_creation.png)

## Outlet Store Features Support

View all features capable of supporting Outlet Stores in the Point of Sale (POS) app.

### Inventory Management

Store to Store (STS), Corporate, and Return to Vendor (RTV) are all supported inventory transfers for outlet stores. For STS, the receiving store is any store type, meaning a store can transfer inventory to an outlet. Similarly, a corporate transfer can occur from a regular store to an outlet and vice versa.

Offline Support: no

For more information, refer to [STS](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_pos_inventory_store_to_store_initiated_transfers.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Merchants can create Corporate Transfers (CTS) in the Point of Sale CMS automatically by uploading a CSV file with inventory transfer information. This action will initiate a store-to-store transfer. After the file is uploaded, it'll be sent to the store's POS app. Store associates can then start packing the products for the store-to-store transfer."), [Corporate](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_pos_inventory_corporate_transfers.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Facilitate the movement of merchandise between stores, allowing merchants to align with regional demands and preferences."), and [RTV](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_pos_inventory_rtv_transfers.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Facilitate the movement of merchandise from a store back to either a vendor or a warehouse.").

### Promotions

### Returns

The return flow for outlets can be customized in CMS with **Enable Cross Channel**. If this is turned on, items purchased at an outlet store can be returned at a regular store and vice versa. However, if this flag is turned off, items purchased at an outlet can only be returned at other outlet stores.
