# Create Product Restrictions with Point of Sale

Configure rules that block specific products from being sold, returned, or included in inventory processing at selected store locations.

Prerequisites:

- Modern POS App Build: 8.9.1 and later
- Platform Support: iPad and iPhone
- Offline Support: 11.3.1 and later

1. Go to **Store Management > Restriction Configuration**.
2. Create a restriction rule.
3. For **Restriction Type**, select whether to restrict inventory, sales, and returns.
4. Provide a descriptive name for the rule.
5. For **Restricted Products**, select a product attribute (such as SKU or style) and enter the matching value (for example, SKU = 12345). Enter values manually or import them from a CSV file using the ellipsis (three dots) menu.
6. For **Restricted Locations**, select the stores where the products are restricted. Enter values manually or import them from a CSV file using the ellipsis (three dots) menu.
7. Save your changes.
