# Manage Inventory Restrictions in Point of Sale CMS and App

View how inventory restrictions are managed in Point of Sale CMS and the Point of Sale (POS) app.

## CMS Store-to-Store Transfer

## POS App Store-to-Store Transfer

If trying to create a Store-to-Store Transfer in the app, you’ll receive an error if the receiving store has a rule for the receiving product and the receiving location.

Note Inventory restrictions are only applied to the receiving store, not the sender's store.

## POS App Corporate Transfers

If trying to create a Corporate Transfer in the app, you’ll receive an error if the receiving store has a rule for the receiving product and receiving location.

## POS App Return to Vendor Transfers

If trying to create a Return to Vendor Transfer in the app, you’ll receive an error if the receiving store has a rule for the receiving product and the receiving location.

## POS App Advanced Ship Notice (ASN) Receivings

If an ASN is created and if trying to receive it, you’ll receive an error if the receiving store has a rule for the receiving product and the receiving location.

## POS App Blind Receivings

If trying to receive a Blind Receiving, you’ll receive an error if the receiving store has a rule for the receiving product and receiving location.

## POS App Purchase Orders

If a purchase order is submitted, you’ll receive an error if the receiving store has a rule for the receiving product and the receiving location.
