Inventory Adjustments

Store inventory management lets merchants view and adjust product counts through the CMS. Full and delta inventory feeds allow for comprehensive or incremental updates from external systems. Merchants can also integrate with the Point of Sale platform to update store inventory via API calls. The system tracks inventory based on order details, decrementing counts for in-store purchases and allocating stock for online orders.

CMS

Merchants can view and adjust store inventory for specific products via CMS by going to: Inventory | Store Inventory | Select a store | Edit Inventory for a product.

Store Inventory Feed

Merchants can export and send store inventory details in various file formats to Point of Sale platform. These files can be processed periodically at configured intervals. Full inventory feed performs a complete refresh of inventory data in Point of Sale platform. This is done in an infrequent manner. Delta inventory feeds perform incremental changes or adjustments to the inventory level and this can be done more frequently even multiple times in a day. Refer to Store Inventory & Pricing Feed to learn how to configure and schedule store inventory feeds.

API

Merchants who manage inventory via an external inventory management system can still integrate with Point of Sale platform and update store inventory via API call. Contact your customer success manager for details about API integration.

Transactions

When a customer places an order, Point of Sale can track the inventory based on the order details. In-store Take-Away/Carry-Out items will be decremented from store inventory. BOPIS (Buy Online Pickup In Store) and BOFIS (Buy Online Fulfill In Store) orders will mark the items as allocated and inventory will be decremented upon fulfillment. Refer to BOPIS/Store Fulfillment Deep Links for details.
