# Show Net Subtotal in Cart Summary and Receipts in POS

Show the net subtotal (subtotal after discounts) in the summary sections across the POS app and in paper and email receipts. With CMS settings, control the display text for net subtotal and subtotal and decide to hide or show subtotal and net subtotal in the POS app.

- Modern POS App build: 7.9.5 and later
- Platform Support: iPad, iPhone

1. Show net subtotal in summary and receipts.
    1. Go to **Modules** | **Cart**.
    2. Enable **Show Net Subtotal in Summary Section and Receipt**.
    3. Save your changes.

    1. Go to **Modules** | **Cart**.
    2. Disable **Hide Subtotal**.
    3. Save your changes.
3. Change display text for net subtotal.
    1. Go to **Modules** | **Cart**.
    2. By default, the text used to show this value in POS App is Net Subtotal.
    3. Set title text in **Display Text for Net Subtotal**.
    4. Save your changes.

    1. Go to **Modules** | **Cart**.
    2. By default, the text used to show this value in POS App is Subtotal.
    3. Set text in **Display Text for Subtotal**.
    4. Save your changes.
5. Change display text for receipts.
    1. Go to **Modules** | **Cart** | **TransactionTextSubstitutions**.
    2. Set **Subtotal Text** and **Net Subtotal Text** to display the in paper receipts.
        
        Epson Fiscal Receipts don’t show the Net Subtotal as the printer automatically adds the subtotal and deducts the discount provided to arrive at the total.
    3. Save your changes.
6. Set net subtotal display for e-receipts.
    1. Go to **Store Management** | **Email & Print Templates**.
    2. Select **Transaction Print Receipt** templates.
    3. Add the tag {net\_sub\_total} to display with other existing tags like subtotal, discount, total, etc.
        
        {net\_sub\_total}
        
        works only with transaction-based print receipts. Don’t add it to legacy order-based receipts.
