# Certify Legacy Cash Drawers

Conduct validation tests to certify a legacy cash drawers for a supported vendor for the POS app.

For cash drawers setup details, refer to appropriate article in [Configure and Manage Cash Drawers](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_hardware_configure_cash_drawers.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Connect a supported cash drawer to the Point of Sale (POS) app to manage transactions and track cash flow. Streamline the checkout process and reuce errors.").Test against product from all the supported printer vendors. For a comprehensive list of test cases, refer to [Files](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_hw_legacy_cash_drawers.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5). For standalone IP cash drawers, such as APG, a printer connection is not required.

1. Confirm that the setup process is correct.
2. Test the printer using the vendor’s app ([TM Utility](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/epson-tm-utility/id726122574) for Epson and [StarQuickSetup](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/star-quick-setup-utility/id1549088652) for Star) available on the App Store.
3. Connect to the printer and perform printer operations followed by opening the cash drawer.

If the setup is correct but problems persist, verify whether there is an open POS bug. If the issue remains unresolved, contact Salesforce Customer Support.
