# Onboarding Overview

Get started with Point of Sale's by understanding the deployment lifecycle and key integration points. Quickly configure feeds, ERP, and payment gateways, and manage your store operations and analytics through the content management system.

## Feeds

There are two modes of integration with the Point of Sale platform. The first mode of integration is "bulk" integration performed with feed files. Feed files are used to import the product catalog, categories, stores, and more. For an overview of how feeds work, refer to the [Feeds Overview](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_adv_config_data_feeds_manage_overview.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Use feeds to efficiently import bulk data, such as products, categories, and stores, into Point of Sale. Feeds streamline the process of updating your Point of Sale platform with the latest information. You can schedule and manually upload feeds, then review logs to ensure data accuracy. Point of Sale supports various feed types and configurations to meet your data import needs.") article. Feeds have a [dedicated section](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_adv_config_data_feeds_manage.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure Point of Sale data feeds to manage and schedule the transfer of product, pricing, and inventory data. Managing feeds ensures accurate data synchronization between systems, such as exporting documents in CMS. You can manually run feeds, schedule them for automated updates, and implement multi-region feeds for global operations. You can also monitor feed pipelines and logs to identify and address any issues, and configure and manage export jobs for efficient data delivery.") within the help that contains the specifications for different types of feed files and how to manage feed imports in the CMS.

## ERP Integration

POS can integrate with your ERP systems out of the box. See [Integrate with ERP Systems](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_adv_config_3p_int_erp.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Integrate Point of Sale with various ERP systems to streamline operations and enhance data flow. Connecting Point of Sale with ERP systems such as NetSuite and SAP ensures seamless data exchange between your retail operations and back-end systems. This integration simplifies address verification and order management, and improves overall efficiency. With complete integration, you can automate processes, reduce errors, and gain a unified view of your business.") to learn about how the integration works with different ERPs.

## Payment Gateway Integration

Point of Sale integrates with many of the most commonly used payment gateways:

- Adyen
- Braintree
- PayPal
- Square
- Stripe
- Payeezy

See [Configure Payment Gateways](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_adv_config_pay_gate.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Integrate payment gateways into Point of Sale to securely process customer transactions. Payment gateways authorize and settle payments, ensuring smooth and reliable financial operations. You can configure callback URLs for seamless payment gateway integrations. Compare payment providers and terminal payment gateway processors to find the best solution for your retail business.t") to learn about how the integration works with different payment gateways.

## TLog / WebHook / POSLog

Transactions performed using the POS app can be exported using a transaction log export, also known as TLog. The export provides the message set necessary to transfer point-of-service information to external systems. See [Export the Transaction Log (TLog)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_adv_config_export_tlog.htm&language=en_US) for more details.

## Content Management System (CMS)

CMS manages the POS app. This includes everything from configuring feeds, designing the app experience, and viewing GMV and order data. See [How to Access Point of Sale CMS](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_accessing_cms.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Access the Point of Sale CMS to control the behavior of the POS app through customization. Access the CMS through a corporate gmail account, or link a non-Gmail corporate account to gmail. Use the latest version of Google Chrome to access the CMS.") for details on how to access the CMS.

Here is a list of some of the most important CMS capabilities:

- Feeds – Manage feeds to bulk import data into the Point of Sale,
- App UI / UX – Define the user experience and look and feel of the app with App Configs and Layouts.
- Store Management – Manage store associates and registers, access Electronic Journal, and more.
- Analytics / Reporting – Generate reports on GMV, orders, tender type, and more.
