Scheduled feed file imports automatically generate offline extracts on a set schedule in Point of Sale CMS after product pricing changes.
Full and Delta Product Feeds
Full and delta product feeds can change the list price and sales price of products. At the end of this feed run, an offline extract is generated. If the store-level pricing offline switch is turned on under CMS - Configuration & Setup, then this generates one file per store with the products in that store along with the list price, sales price, and store price.
For delta product feeds, the POS app consolidates all daily delta files into a single offline feed file. For example, if delta feeds are sent to Salesforce hourly, they are combined into one consolidated offline feed generated daily at the time specified by Offline Database Refresh Time.
Store-Level Pricing Off
- Full Product Feed: One offline file for all stores with all products.
- Delta Product Feed: One offline file with updated products only common for all stores.
Store-Level Pricing On
- Full Product Feed: One offline file for all stores with all products.
- Delta Product Feed: One offline file with updated products only common for all stores.
Multi-Region Pricing Feeds
When Multi-Region Pricing feeds are loaded into the system, offline extracts aren't automatically generated.
Full and Delta Store Inventory / Pricing Feed
When Store Inventory/Pricing feeds are loaded in the system, offline extracts aren't automatically generated. To solve this, we can now generate offline extracts on a set schedule.
Scheduled Offline Extracts
As multiple scheduled feeds can affect product pricing, offline extracts will now be generated at a set schedule.
- Full Offline - Once a Month
- Delta Offline - Once a Day
These jobs will be automatically created when the store-level pricing offline switch is enabled under CMS - Configuration and Setup. You'll be able to change the start time but not the frequency of the run.
