# Point of Sale Registers

Configuring Point of Sale (POS) registers lets you track devices that run the Retail Cloud store app.

A POS register is the logical concept of a device running the Point of Sale store app. Configuring a register will allow you to track devices running the app and add restrictions on what kinds of peripherals a device can communicate with.
