# Known Issues and Troubleshooting

Address Point of Sale (POS) issues such as a product not found when scanning a UPC-A barcode offline.

## Product Not Found

When scanning a UPC-A barcode offline, if you see an error that the product wasn't found, the barcode number might begin with "0".

To rectify this issue, go to **CMS > Store Management > Store Settings > Feed > Product.** Under **Barcode Scan Replacement JSON**, add this regex:

```
"regex":"^0+(?!$)","replace":""
```

## Missing Latest Offline Configuration Settings

If an offline register doesn't behave as expected per the Offline Configuration Settings in CMS, one reason might be that it went offline before retrieving that update. One such setting that might not have taken effect is a change to [Maximum Allowances](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_settings_pos_offline_support_configuration_and_setup.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Turn on and configure offline mode for your POS to confirm continuous operation during network outages."). Offline Configuration Settings in CMS are downloaded along with Store Credentials Offline Feeds, either at the next scheduled sync (based on Offline Database Refresh Time) or during a forced refresh (while online, tap **Download All** from the Offline Logs). This behavior differs from other app configurations or store settings, which are updated on each launch or log in.

## Offline Data warning when switching to Offline Mode

The Point of Sale (POS) app shows this warning if either of the offline feeds are missing for products, taxes, or store associate credentials required to transact offline.

Make sure POS has downloaded or attempted to download all the offline-related feeds. You can check this by navigating to the "Offline Logs" Deeplink. If not configured, configure the Offline Logs deeplink in the Hamburger Menu. Follow this [article](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_layouts_templates_hamburger_menu.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure a hamburger menu in the POS app to access a wide range of features without cluttering the screen. This setup streamlines navigation, making it easier for users to find and use essential functions quickly.") to understand how Hamburger Menu can be configured.

If POS attempted a download, but there are zero records downloaded or an error downloading, check if the Offline configuration is setup and Offline feeds are enabled for this merchant. Check this [article](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_settings_offline_feed_file_extracts.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Offline feed files help the Point of Sale (POS) app function properly, where at least one online session is needed to download the required files.") for more information. After the feeds are configured, relaunch the app and check the Offline Logs screen to see the Offline Feeds Download status.
