# Product Not on File Report

Generate reports for products that didn't originate from a product feed import in Point of Sale and were manually added by a store associate.

Manually created products or products that are "Not on File" are products that didn't originate from a product feed import, and were manually added by a store associate. Usually, a manually-created product not found in a lookup goes through on the sales floor.

## Prerequisites

- Modern POS App Build: 9.0.1 or later
- Platform Support: iPhone & iPad
- Offline Support: no

## Configure Point of Sale for Product not on File Reports

View a report of products that are not on file in both CMS and on the app.

### Viewing and Generating Reports

To view and generate the report in Point of Sale CMS:

1. Go to **Store Management > Report & Analytics > Product Not on File**.
2. Adjust the start and end dates to view all products created within that time frame.
3. (Optional) Select **DOWNLOAD CSV** to download a CSV-formatted file of the results.

### POS App Deep Link

To view the report in the POS app, you'll need to set up a deep link:

1. Set the deep link in a layout or [hamburger menu](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_layouts_templates_hamburger_menu.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure a hamburger menu in the POS app to access a wide range of features without cluttering the screen. This setup streamlines navigation, making it easier for users to find and use essential functions quickly.").
2. In the deep link picker, go to **Store Associate > Item Not on File Report**.
3. Set and save your changes.
4. Relaunch your POS app.

## View Product Not On File Report in the POS App

See key product and sales data, including product ID, title, price, creation date, taxability, store associate ID, and store ID in the Point of Sale (POS) app.

Reload the report on demand to get a current view of sales data. Users can customize the report by date range, filtering by day, week, month, year, or a specific range.

### Accessing Report

After setting the deep link using the steps in [POS App Deep Link](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_reports_product_not_found.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Generate reports for products that didn't originate from a product feed import in Point of Sale and were manually added by a store associate."), close and relaunch the app. Tap the deep link and you’ll see the screenshot.

The POS app report includes this information:

- Product ID
- Product title
- Product price
- Creation date and time (in UTC)
- Product's taxability (yes or no)
- Store Associate ID's and their full name
- Store ID

The report can be reloaded on-demand by clicking the refresh icon at the top right. This will trigger a fresh new query, using the currently selected date for the data filtering.

### Customizing Report by Date

The report allows date range filtering through the calendar icon at the bottom, with the default view initially set to cover the last seven days. For app builds earlier than 9.9.1, the report can be filtered by the current day, last three days, last seven days, and last 30 days.

For builds 9.9.1 or later, users can customize the filter by day, week, month, year, or a specific range. There's a maximum limit of 31 days for a specific range.
