Product Search Synonyms

Configure synonyms in Point of Sale CMS to optimize the search algorithm.

1. In CMS, go to Products > Synonyms.
2. Select the blue plus (+).
3. Enter a Group Name. The group name doesn't affect the search algorithm. It is used only by the CMS to organize the groups.
4. Enter a comma-separated list of synonyms (for example "sunglasses, shades").
5. Save your changes by clicking on the blue floppy disc.

If there's an extensive list of synonyms, you can upload them via CSV by clicking on CSV Upload in the upper right of the screen. If uploading via CSV, then the header row ("token,values") is required.

Each line in the CSV file represents a synonym group. Make the format of the CSV resemble the example:

    GROUP_NAME, "{COMMA_SEPARATED_LIST_OF_SYNONYMS"
    Example: sunglasses, "shades, sunglasses"
