# Policy Management & User Subscription Setting

Create monitoring policies in Point of Sale CMS to designate email addresses for receiving alerts about subscription or application-based events.

## Accessing Monitoring Policies

Create, edit, or delete monitoring policies by going to **Advanced > Monitoring**.

## Creating Monitoring Policies

To create multiple policies, select **Create** in the upper right of the page. Then, configure the fields by referring to their sections .

## Basic Policy Information

Add details and activate your monitoring policy.

- **Policy Name**: Enter a descriptive name to describe your policy.
- **Policy Type**: Select the type of monitoring.
    - For APIs or SPIs, select "Application Alerts".
    - For all others (that is, Feeds, Aborted Orders, OMS Errors), select "Subscriptions".
- **Active**: Turn on this switch to activate your policy. If turned on, this suspends any activity for this policy.

## Subscribers

Subscribers are categorized into two groups:

- **Email List**: This comprises users external to your organization who receive alerts. You can specify email addresses individually or upload a file containing a list of these users.
- **Internal List**: This category includes internal users within your organization who will also receive alerts. Similarly, you can add them manually or upload a list via a file.

## Subscriptions

Define what events your subscribers are alerted on. Multiple event types can be configured in a single policy.

## Event

Notifies subscribers of events related to a specified feed.

Events include:

- **File not found**: If the Feed Job is unable to find a file that was configured in the Scheduled Upload job.
- **Variance**: If the Feed Job processing records vary from one process to the next. A corresponding configuration value of Variance needs to be set. The average records for feed variance alerts are calculated over the last 10 feed runs.
- **Threshold**: If a fail percentage crosses a configured threshold, an alert is sent out. A corresponding configuration value of Threshold needs to be set.
- **Fail Status**: If a feed or export job fails, an alert is sent.

The available feeds for monitoring include:

- Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN)
- Product (Full)
- Product (Delta)
- Product Inventory (Full)
- Product Inventory (Delta)
- Product Pricing (Full)
- Product Pricing (Delta)
- Product Sizing (Full)
- Product Sizing (Delta)
- Promotions
- Store
- Store Associates
- Store Device
- Store Inventory Delta
- Store Inventory Full
- Tax Rates
- Tax Rates Flattened

## Export

Notifies subscribers of failed exports. Exports can be found by going to **Feeds > Export Jobs**.

## Aborted Orders

Notifies subscribers of all orders that have an order status of "ABORTED" in the Point of Sale (POS) app. This can occur, for example with payment failures.

## Failed Orders (Manual Reconciliation)

Notifies subscribers of failed orders that need a manual reconciliation. This report can be found in CMS by going to **Alerts > Failed Orders (Manual Reconciliation)**. You can configure the frequency of this event—daily, weekly, or monthly.

## OMS Error Reporting (SF OMS)

Notifies subscribers if orders from Point of Sale are completed but fail to post to Salesforce.

## OMS Error Reporting (NetSuite)

Notifies subscribers if orders from Point of Sale are completed but fail to post to NetSuite.

## Order Export Failures

Notifies subscribers of failed order exports. Exports can be found by going to **Alerts > Order Export Failures**.
