# View External Order Logs with Outbound Logger

View all logs in Point of Sale CMS related to an order's correlation ID to debug errors when posting an order to an external platform.

Prerequisites:

- Modern POS App build: 8.4.1 or later
- Platform Support: iPhone & iPad
- Offline Support: No

If an order is created correctly in Point of Sale CMS, posting this order to an external platform (NetSuite, Salesforce) can fail. Acquiring the appropriate information for debugging can be a time-consuming process. To solve this issue, the newest feature, Outbound Logger, allows users to see all logs related to a correlation ID of the order.

1. In CMS, go to **Orders > Successful Orders**.
2. Configure the search filter and select **SEARCH**.
3. Under **External Logs**, select **View External Logs**. This window shows each log's correlation ID and log entry type. From there, you can view each logged API call.
4. Select **View Log** to view the raw data in an XML format.
5. Select **Back**, then, you can view error details by selecting the red exclamation mark. The error messages for this logged API Call can be copied and used for debugging.

Refer to the table for a description of the common attributes seen in the generated reports.
