# Omnichannel: Configuring Delivery and Pickup Dates

Configure delivery and pickup dates to provide customers with the ability to select delivery options in the Point of Sale (POS) app.

The POS app provides an option to capture delivery and pickup information (dates, person of contact, and so on) at the item level. Point of Sale supports three methods for configuring delivery dates on the POS app: manual CMS configuration and defaults provided by Point of Sale backend (30-day window frame excluding Sundays).

## Prerequisistes

- Modern POS App Build: 9.4.1 or later
- Platform Support: iPad
- Offline Support: no

## Omnichannel: Configuring Delivery and Pickup Dates CMS Configuration and Setup

Specify delivery and pickup dates for orders so customers can select their preferred dates in the Point of Sale (POS) app.

### Enabling Omnichannel Fulfillment Settings

1. In CMS, go to **Store Management \\> Store Settings \\> Store Fulfillment**.
2. Under **Omni Settings**, select the pencil to show the window.
3. Turn on **Enable omni fulfillment options V2**.
4. To configure delivery options:
    1. Turn on **Ship to Home**
    2. Check **Ask for delivery date**
5. To configure pickup options:
    1. Turn on **Pickup Later**.
    2. Under **Default Fulfill From Location**, select "**Current Store**".

Note Note: Only "Pickup Later" items with a default fulfillment location of "Current Store" will ask for dates on the POS app. If the default fulfillment location is "Auto Route", it is assumed that the date is unknown and the merchant will contact the customer if the item is shipped to the store.

### Configuring Delivery and Pickup Dates in CMS

Set delivery and pickup dates in CMS. If not set, defaults will be provided by Retail Cloud Backend (30-day window frame excluding Sundays). For configuring dates via customization, skip to [Configuring Delivery & Pickup Dates via Custom Integration](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_omnichannel_delivery_and_pickup_date_overview.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure Delivery and Pickup Dates for Omnichannel in Point of Sale.").

1. In CMS, go to **Advanced \\> Date Picker Configuration**.
2. Select **Create** in the upper right corner of the screen.
3. Under **General Settings**, configure the settings:
    1. **Configuration Type**: Configure the setting for either delivery or pickup orders.
    2. N**umber of Future Days Selectable**: Enter how many calendar days out the delivery date can be selected with a default set to 30 days.
    3. **Days After Current Date Until Available for Selection**: Enter how many calendar days after the current date can the delivery date be selected.
    4. **Days of the Week**: Select days of the week that are available for deliveries with a default set to Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
4. Under **Time Windows**, configure the time range(s).
5. Under **Days to Omit**, select dates that aren't available for delivery. For example New Years (01/01/2023)
