Set up Omnichannel fulfillment options in CMS so that your store associates can fulfill orders from the Point of Sale (POS) app.

- Modern POS App Build: 8.4.0 or later

Omni Settings in Point of Sale CMS control which fulfillment types are available to store associates, how orders are routed for fulfillment, and what customers see for fulfillment options in the POS app.

Customize the product display page and configure shipping methods on the Point of Sale (POS) app.")

## Enabling Omnichannel

Turn on OmniV2 to allow store associates to select and switch between fulfillment types in the POS app.

1. In CMS, go to **Store Management | Store Settings | Store Fulfillment**.
2. Under Omni Settings, select the pencil icon to open the configuration window.
3. Turn on **Enable omni fulfillment options V2**.
4. Customize the configuration by referring to [Omni Customization](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_enabling_omni_settings.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure Product Display Page (PDP) layouts, mixed carts, and shipping methods after you turn on Omni settings.").
5. Save your changes.

## Configure Fulfillment Types

Configure the fulfillment types, whether you support [Mixed Cart](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_omnichannel_multiple_fulfillment_types.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Allows items in the cart to have multiple fulfillment types in a single order with Point of Sale's Omnichannel solution.") or [Single Fulfillment](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_omnichannel_single_fulfillment_type_per_cart.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Set the default fulfillment type in Point of Sale CMS to make sure orders work if a merchant can't support different fulfillment types in one cart.").

1. In CMS, go to **Store Management | Store Settings | Store Fulfillment**.
2. Under **Omni Settings**, select the pencil icon to open the configuration window.
3. Under **Is Enabled**, select the fulfillment types to support in the POS app.
4. Under **Is Default**, select the default fulfillment type. If Mixed Cart is off, the default fulfillment type takes precedence.
5. Save the changes.

## Customize Display Text

1. In CMS, go to **Store Management | Store Settings | Store Fulfillment**.
2. Under **Omni Settings**, select the pencil icon to open the configuration window.
3. Under **Display Text**, enter a display value. Use the Language dropdown to configure display text in different languages. The app shows the text on the PDP, Cart, Order History, and paper receipts.
4. Save the changes.

## Set Fulfillment Location

Configure where to fulfill Ship to Home and Pickup Later orders.

1. In CMS, go to **Store Management | Store Settings | Store Fulfillment**.
2. Under **Omni Settings**, select the pencil icon to open the configuration window.
3. Select the default fulfillment location for processing orders.
    - **Auto Route**: The system selects where to fulfill the item (warehouse or a store). Associates can’t select a different fulfillment location when they add items to a cart.
    - **Current Store**: The system fulfills items from the store where the associate logs in on the app.
4. Save the changes.

## Enable Delivery and Pickup Dates

Let customers select a delivery or pickup date for Ship to Home, Ship to Home From Current Store, and Pickup Later orders.

1. In CMS, go to **Store Management | Store Settings | Store Fulfillment**.
2. Under **Omni Settings**, select the pencil icon to open the configuration window.
3. Select **Ask for delivery date**.
4. Save the changes.

## Enable Ship to Home From Current Store

Allocate items and route them to Point of Sale’s fulfillment system for [BOFIS](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_pos_orders_fulfill_bofis.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Process Buy Online, Fulfill In Store (BOFIS) orders in the POS app. Store associates pack, ship, and manage orders fulfilled from the store.") order processing. When enabled, store associates can review and pack these orders in the POS app.

1. In CMS, go to **Store Management | Store Settings | Store Fulfillment**.
2. Under **Omni Settings**, select the pencil icon to open the configuration window.
3. Turn on **Ship to Home From Current Store**.
4. Save the changes.

## Restrict Fulfillment Switching

Prevent store associates from switching fulfillment types after adding items to the cart. When this feature is enabled, associates must void the cart to select a different fulfillment type.

1. In CMS, go to **Store Management | Store Settings | Store Fulfillment**.
2. Under **Omni Settings**, select the pencil icon to open the configuration window.
3. Turn on **Limit Cross-Channel Fulfillment Switching**.
4. Save the changes.

## Apply Shipping Fees to Selected Fulfillment Types

App build prerequisite: 12.4.1 or later.

Choose which fulfillment types are eligible for shipping fees. **Ship to Home** and **Ship to Home From Current Store** are selected by default. You can also select **Pickup Later** to charge shipping fees for those orders.

Note This setting only controls shipping fee eligibility. Shipping method selection and delivery grouping are configured separately. See [Omnichannel: Configuring Shipping Methods on POS App](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_omnichannel_configuring_shipping_methods_on_pos_app.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure shipping methods in Point of Sale CMS’s Point of Sale (POS) app to host and select how to ship goods without external calls.").

1. In CMS, go to **Store Management | Store Settings | Store Fulfillment**.
2. Under **Omni Settings**, select the pencil icon to open the configuration window.
3. Under **Apply Shipping Fees to Selected Fulfillment Types**, select the fulfillment types you want to charge shipping fees for.

To charge shipping fees on Pickup Later orders, turn on both of these toggles:

    - **Enable Order Delivery Grouping**: Groups items by delivery group on the cart.
    - **Allow Multiple Shipments Per Cart/Order**: Allows multiple shipments per cart or order.
4. Save the changes.

## Omni Customization

Configure Product Display Page (PDP) layouts, mixed carts, and shipping methods after you turn on Omni settings.

### Product Display Page (PDP)

After the Omni settings have been enabled and configured, you will have to configure a PDP layout with the fulfillment type UI component. For more information, refer to this [article](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_omnichannel_single_fulfillment_type_per_cart.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Set the default fulfillment type in Point of Sale CMS to make sure orders work if a merchant can't support different fulfillment types in one cart.").

### Mixed Cart

You can set items in the cart to have multiple fulfillment types in a single order (Ship to Home, Pickup Later, and so on). For more information, refer to this [article](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_omnichannel_multiple_fulfillment_types.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Allows items in the cart to have multiple fulfillment types in a single order with Point of Sale's Omnichannel solution.").

You can also configure fulfillment combination rules, allowing you to block certain Omnitype combinations in the POS cart. For more information, refer to this [article](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_fulfillment_type_combination_rules.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure fulfillment combination rules in Point of Sale CMS to prevent incompatible order types.").

### Single Fulfillment

If you’d rather have a single fulfillment type in a single order but still have the option to select in the POS app, refer to this [article](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_omnichannel_single_fulfillment_type_per_cart.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Set the default fulfillment type in Point of Sale CMS to make sure orders work if a merchant can't support different fulfillment types in one cart.").

### External Shipping

You can retrieve shipping methods by using an API. This feature is not supported if the multiple shipping method is enabled. For more information, refer to this [article](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_modules_omnichannel_configuring_shipping_methods_on_pos_app.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Configure shipping methods in Point of Sale CMS’s Point of Sale (POS) app to host and select how to ship goods without external calls.").

### Shipping Methods

You can set up available shipping methods within the CMS or through an API. You can also decide whether different shipping methods are allowed or not for a single order.
