# Set Up an Order Confirmation Layout

Customize order confirmations in Point of Sale to meet your specific merchant needs, ensuring customers receive clear and detailed purchase information. Use the Layout Editor to tailor the content, enhancing customer satisfaction and clarity.

- Modern POS App build: 5.10.3 or above
- Platform Support: iPad and iPhone

## Create an Order Confirmation Layout

1. In CMS, go to **Layouts** | **Layouts Templates** | **Order Confirmation**.
2. Select **Add From Template**.
3. Select the Order Confirmation template.
4. Configure the template that fits your requirements.
    
    Tip: Additional fields can be added, but they must be configured correctly. For example, you can add a checkbox for signing up a customer for marketing emails. Ensure that you input the correct JSON object key notation (e.g., consents.newsLetterSignUp).
5. Click **Publish** in the upper right.

## Assign an Order Confirmation Layout to an App Config

1. In CMS, go to **Apps** | **Store**.
2. Edit your selected app config.
3. Under the UI tab, go to UI Options.
4. Under Order Confirmation Layouts, click on the pencil icon to the right.
5. A new modal will pop up where you'll assign the layout you've created.

You may assign the same layout to all types of order processes (purchase, refund, and pending payment) or you can create a different layout for each one.

## Configure the Language Picker

This is optional, but you may set up a language dropdown for receipt printing on the order confirmation layout. This can be useful for merchants who have stores in different countries, regions, etc.

1. In CMS, go to **Apps** | **Store**.
2. Edit your selected app config.
3. Click **Edit** and select a cell where you wish to display the dropdown.
4. In the Layout Editor on the right, click **Cell Content** | **Form Element** | **Dropdown List**.
5. Under Save Location, enter ps.print.language.
6. Add the supported languages by clicking on the blue plus icon to the right of Add Options.

    Note It is recommended to match the first option in the dropdown list to the "Default Language" configured in Store Settings (**Store Management** | **Store Settings** | **Print Receipts** | **Languages supported**).
7. Configure the rest of the fields that fit your requirements.
8. Set and publish your changes.
9. Test your changes by relaunching the POS app and making a purchase.

## PS Tags

As order confirmation layouts use the Layout Editor, the same basic rules for rows and cells apply. You can add order details to the layout by leveraging PS Tags. See PS Tags for more information.

## Order Related PS Tags

- :ps\_order\_id - Displays the current order ID.
- :ps\_order\_total - Displays the current order total.
- :ps\_order\_change\_back\_to\_customer - Displays the change due back to the customer.
- :ps\_order\_payments\_applied\_list - Displays the payments applied list.
- :ps\_order\_receipt\_header\_title - Displays the Receipt Header title.
- :ps\_order\_receipt\_header\_subtitle - Displays the Header subtitle.

## Customized Headers

These PS Tags used in Text Overlay Cells can be used to generate customized headers based on the state of the customer.
