# Set Up Product Display Page Mappings

The Point of Sale Product Display Page (PDP) mappings allow retailers to customize product display pages for specific contexts, such as off-brands, enhancing user experience by showing relevant layouts. Retailers can tailor the PDP to meet their specific needs, improving engagement and conversion rates.

The merchant must be using [PDP V2](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_layouts_templates_pdp.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create a Product Display Page (PDP) in the layout editor. Unlike the template-based PDP V1, this version lets you customize the page layout.") to use PDP Mapping.

## Enable PDP Mappings

1. In CMS, go to Apps > All.
2. Edit your selected app config.
3. Under the UI tab, go to Go to UI > PDP Layouts.
4. Click the pencil icon to the right of PDP Mappings.
5. Click Add Mapping and configure the fields.

    ![The PDP mappings window.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-retail-264-0-0-production-enus/17d647fb-8988-49fb-9add-c4f4cc79c9e4/retail/images/rt_cms_layouts_settings_pdp_mappings.png)
6. Set and save your changes.

If the new PDP mappings setting is present then the app will conditionally render one of several possible PDPs based on the conditions defined in the setting. However, if no conditions are met then the default (fallback) PDP will be rendered.

Note The order of the attributes matters, meaning that the app will go through the conditions sequentially. Once a condition is satisfied, the corresponding PDP will be rendered.

## Known Issues & Restrictions

PDP mappings can only be configured to String properties. Boolean, Int, Double, and all other data types are not supported. If you still wish to configure, for example, a Boolean property, add an extra column in your [product feed file](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_adv_config_data_feeds_specs_product.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Create a robust user experience in the POS app by viewing product details such as search results and filters.") with the Boolean represented as a String (for example, isOnSale). Map that column to [customString](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_adv_config_data_feeds_maps_field_maps.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Set Field Mappings in Point of Sale to transform data from external sources into the format that Point of Sale uses. Field mappings use transformations and regular expressions. When you import data feeds, the field mappings ensure that your data is accurate and consistent. This consistency helps to streamline your retail operations."), and then you can add PDP mapping for the customString value.
