Setting up TestFlight on Your Device

Test Point of Sale (POS) on Apple devices using TestFlight so merchants can effectively test the app. Register new accounts and provide corporate email addresses to your Salesforce contact to receive the TestFlight app.

  1. Send test devices to the group you want to test. Make Apple IDs available for them to use on those devices. Use the same email they have with the company.
  2. Create a support case requesting TestFlight access and provide the Apple IDs that you want to use on your devices. Make sure that your corporate email address matches your Apple ID.
    • Example Supported:
      • Apple ID: tester@company.com
      • TestFlight email: tester@company.com
    • Example Not Supported:
      • Apple ID: janedoe@gmail.com
      • TestFlight email: tester@company.com
  3. Make sure the corporate Apple ID is logged in on the device you intend to use. If your TestFlight email and AppleID aren't the same if you accept the invitation and download the app, you'll be in an unsupported flow. Create a new corporate account and Apple ID.
  4. Download TestFlight from the App Store on the device. You’re automatically logged into TestFlight using your Apple ID. If not, log in.
  5. Point of Sale grants access and users receive an invitation email from TestFlight (no_reply@email.apple.com) with a link to deploy the Point of Sale app in TestFlight.
  6. Open the app from the link in the email and start testing.
  7. If you run into issues, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) with this information:
    • Date and time of the issue
    • TestFlight User email
    • Device type and iOS version
    • Available screen shots/recordings of the issue

To test the app, install TestFlight on your iOS device running 17.0 or later.
