# Configure Gift Card Payments in Payment Terminal

Configure Point of Sale's Point of Sale (POS) to accept gift card payments, add value, cash out, and check balances, using a payment terminal. Merchants can select the integration approach that suits their needs, verifying all transactions are available through gateway reporting.

Point of Sale supports both direct integrations and integrations via payment gateways.

- For direct integrations, we offer out-of-the-box support for Givex, Clutch, and NetSuite
- Via Adyen, we support Givex, SVS, and Fiserv (formerly Valuelink)
- Via Verifone Flex, we support Givex and SVS

For gift card platforms that overlap between direct and gateway integrations, you can select the approach that best suits your needs. Opting for the gateway approach makes sure that all transactions are available through the gateway reporting.

Important Merchants are responsible for directly contracting with their chosen gift card vendor. Point of Sale doesn't manage vendor contracts for merchants.

## Prerequisites

- Modern POS App Build:
    - Adyen: 8.7.1 or greater
    - Verifone: 9.5.1 or greater
- Platform Support: iPad & iPhone
- Offline Support: no
- Supported Payment Gateway(s): Adyen & Verifone. Merchants shall work with their payment gateway providers to link gift card provider accounts
- Certified Gift Card Provider: Adyen (GiveX, SVS, ValueLink), Verifone (GiveX)

    Integrate gift card providers with your payment gateways to turn on gift card functionality. The gift card provider supplies credentials that your gateway provider configures as a payment method.
