# Setup and Configure Finanz Online Credentials

Merchants connect Point of Sale to Austrian tax authorities using Finanz Online (FON) credentials.

Each merchant must sign up with Austrian tax authorities through Finanz Online (FON). They must also have a Web service user who sends data to FON regularly and their FON credentials.

## Create Web Service Credentials

To create a Merchant's webservices credential:

1. Log in to the FON website (https://finanzonline.bmf.gv.at)
2. Create a Web Services user on the FON website using these steps**Eingaben -> last Point "Benutzeranlage" Anlegen eines Benutzers für Registirekassen-Webservices**.
3. Enter WebService credentials on the EFSTA Portal by Point of Sale.
    1. Go to the EFSTA portal (Portal.efsta.net/dashboard)
    2. Select **Companies** from the menu on the left.
    3. select the Merchant Name (for example, Converse Retail Gmbh). The window on the right has an FON tab to enter the FON web services credentials.
    4. Enter the values for all three data fields and select **Test Data**. EFSTA services validate the Web service credentials. If the FON data is correct, select **Active**.
    5. Select **Reactivate FON for all EFRs** and then save (if there are no existing EFRs).

Note Save the FON web services credentials for future use, as Point of Sale can't interact with FON for any user credentials setup.

## Configuration Process - EFSTA

Initial merchant setup on EFSTA is performed by the Point of Sale team

Merchant users can log in to the EFSTA portal and be able to access their reports on the portal.

## Configuration process - Prime Sign

Point of Sale or Merchants can purchase Prime-Sign directly from the EFSTA portal.

Various options are available based on response time and support hours. After Prime-Sign purchase is completed, Prime-Sign provides credentials to be used on the EFSTA portal. Share these Prime-Sign credentials with the Point of Sale team, who set up the credentials for each register after it has been online at least one time.

1. Go to **CMS > Store Management > Associates.**
2. Select **Edit**.
3. Change 'Associate Role' to the role you want.
4. Select **Save**.

## Configuration process - Point of Sale

Point of Sale CMS groups fiscalization settings in one place. The navigation path you use depends on whether you’re setting up fiscalization for the first time.

1. For new merchants, go to **Integrations > Fiscalization** and create a configuration. If you can’t create a configuration, switch to a merchant region that supports fiscalization. For example, a U.S. merchant region that doesn’t support fiscalization won’t allow you to create one.
2. For legacy merchants, go to **Store Management > Store Settings > Fiscal.**
    1. Expand All and enable/configure these settings:

        Enabling Fiscalization

        Tax Identifier (merchant tax ID).

## Print Receipt Configuration

For printing the Fiscal QR code on printed receipts, add specific fiscal tags to the receipt template (more details on the printed receipt template can be found at https://example.com).

## Email Receipt Configuiration

If a merchant intends to use a separate Marketing cloud or email service, Point of Sale can send the order data, including fiscal data, via a webhook for any third party to send email receipts.
