# How to Access Point of Sale CMS

Access the Point of Sale CMS to control the behavior of the POS app through customization. Access the CMS through a corporate gmail account, or link a non-Gmail corporate account to gmail. Use the latest version of Google Chrome to access the CMS.

## Overview

Point of Sale Content Management System (CMS) is an important platform tool as it can control the behavior of the point of sale (POS) app through customization. This article explains how to access the CMS. It also contains important information about the different CMS environments and how to switch among different merchant accounts, regions, and locales.

## CMS Authentication

## Gmail Corporate Account

If you use a corporate gmail account, then you're ready to go. Proceed to [CMS Environments](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.rt_cms_accessing_cms.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Access the Point of Sale CMS to control the behavior of the POS app through customization. Access the CMS through a corporate gmail account, or link a non-Gmail corporate account to gmail. Use the latest version of Google Chrome to access the CMS.") next and, if prompted to authenticate with gmail, use your corporate account.

## Non-Gmail Corporate Account

If you don't have a corporate gmail account, link your corporate account to gmail.

1. 1\. Go to the [Create your Google Account](https://accounts.google.com/signup/v2/webcreateaccount?flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=SignUp&nogm=true) form.
2. 2\. Complete the form using your corporate email address.
3. 3\. Select Next.
4. 4\. Complete the account setup process (after you reach the welcome screen, you are finished).

Use the latest version of Google Chrome to access the CMS."). Use your corporate email address and the password you just configured to log into the CMS from now on.

## Supported Browsers

Use the latest version of Google Chrome when accessing the CMS to ensure the best experience and guarantee that all features work.

## CMS Environments

To access the CMS in the staging environment:

- Go to [https://labs.salesforce.com](https://labs.salesforce.com)

To access the CMS in the production environment:

- Go to [https://crm.salesforce.com](https://crm.salesforce.com)

You can also check the browser tab to verify which environment you are in. Depending on the environment, the icon and title change in the browser tab.

## Current Merchant

When you log into the CMS, you log in as a particular merchant, region, and locale. Each region and locale can have a unique logo in the CMS, which appears in the top left corner of the screen.

## Current Region & Locale

The region and locale are indicated by the flag and two-letter language abbreviation that appears in the top right corner of the screen.

## Switching Merchant, Region, or Locale

To switch merchants, regions, or locales, select the dropdown in the top right corner.

## Error Handling

In the case where a user receives the ‌"Access Denied" message, double check that the email linked to the login is correct. In most cases, this is due to ‌authentication being attempted with an invalid email address.

Additionally, if merchants migrate to GSuite after associating their work email address with Google, as stated in the previous steps, this can result in a duplicate account being created with your associated work email.
