# Promotions Feed

The Point of Sale product promotion details can be derived from the product feed itself. Providing a separate promotion feed allows you to send multiple promotion call outs for a product.

Note This feed only enables promotion call-out messages. Product pricing or discounts are not calculated based on this feed.

## Format

The feed format is XML (Standard Demandware Export).

## Frequency

After every full product feed import.

## Content

- promotion title (e.g. “Buy one get second 50% off”)
- promotion effective date (the start date/end date of the promotion (e.g. “2016­03­01T13:00­0800/2016­03­05T13:00­0800”)

- All feed files can be sent in the original or compressed form.
- Compression support methods are .gz and .zip files. All feed content supports UTF-8 encoding.
