# Unified Authentication is Mandatory for Business Manager

With the 21.8 Release, all Business Manager instances migrate to the Unified Authentication Mandatory security stage.

How: To log in with their Business Manager credentials, users are required to have a linked Account Manager Account. Users that don’t have a linked Account Manager account can’t log in with their Business Manager credentials.
