# Assign Resource Profiles to On-Demand Sandboxes

When your create a new On-Demand Sandboxes, you can assign one of three discrete resource profiles to define sandbox disk, CPU, and memory allocation. Sandbox resources are expensive, so it's important to use them wisely. Resources profiles enable customers to create the right size sandbox for their specific needs. In addition, resource profiles enable developers to more easily maintain sandbox content, ensuring configuration is aligned with the production environment.

**How:** You can assign one of three discrete profiles to each on-demand sandbox. This table describes the settings for each resource profile:
