To use reservations when adding a new item to an exchange order, add a web store
inventory source. Reservations help reduce out-of-stock errors by holding a product as soon as
it’s placed in a cart.
Required Editions

From the App Launcher, find and select Web Store Inventory
Sources.

Click New.

Select a location or location group.

Select a web store.

Configure how long you want a reservation to last.

Enter an Inventory Cache TTL to set how long the cache lasts.

Select an inventory dimension.

Save your changes.
