# Configuring Locations for Order Shipping

You can configure a fulfillment location to ship ordered products.

For example, assign the location to a location group associated with a store. When a shopper places an order on that store, inventory reservations are created at the location group. Then, according to business rules, the reservations are routed to individual locations for fulfillment.

When using B2B and D2C Commerce, create a site inventory list that represents the store, and then map it to the location group.
