# Assign Permission Sets in Omnichannel Inventory

There are three permission sets in Omnichannel Inventory, the inventory manager, the retail manager, and the merchandiser. The inventory manager has the widest range of access, including read and write permisssion to both inventory and location management. The retail manager has read and write permission to inventory data. The merchandiser only has read permission to inventory data.

Further customize the Omnichannel Inventory personas by modifying their permission sets.

Note All Order Management permission sets grant full access to Omnichannel Inventory. If you want to limit a user’s access to Omnichannel Inventory, modify their Order Management permissions to prevent unexpected access.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Permission Sets, and then select **Permission Sets**.
2. Select an Omnichannel Inventory permission.
3. Click **Manage Assignments**.
4. Click **Add Assignments**.
5. Select the checkbox next to each user that you want to have the permission set.
6. Click **Assign**.
7. Click **Done**.
