# Remove a Promotion

You can remove a promotion from your store temporarily or permanently.

### Required Editions

1. In the navigation sidebar, select a store from the **Store** dropdown.
2. Select **Promotions**.
3. Select the promotion.
4. To remove the promotion temporarily:
    1. Click **Edit**.
    2. To deactivate the promotion, deselect **Active**.
    3. To end the promotion sooner, change the end date and time.
    4. Save your work.
5. To remove the promotion permanently:
    1. Click **Delete**.
    2. In the confirmation window, click **Delete** to confirm.

        Note If a promotion is connected to an order, you can’t delete it. To stop the promotion from being applied to new transactions, update its end time or deactivate it.
