# Use External Product Media URLs in B2B Commerce

Add external URLs for product media instead of uploading them to Salesforce CMS. This feature is useful for large catalogs, where adding media for every product to Salesforce CMS individually can take days. This setting applies to all stores in your org, affects only product media (not category media, which continues to use Salesforce CMS), and takes effect immediately. After you enable the feature, add media URLs directly on the product.

You can also add the Product Media Extensibility Setup topic to the B2B Merchant Agent to enable external product media URLs through the agent window. See [Add Agentforce Merchandising for B2B Stores Topics](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=commerce.comm_agent_merchant_add_topics.htm&language=en_US).

1. At the top of the page, click ![Setup](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-commerce-comm-264-0-0-production-enus/d863e308-482a-4dfa-8d20-2a94737d394a/comm/images/comm_setup_icon_no_border.png) and select **Setup**.
2. In Quick Find, search for and select **Commerce Setup Assistant**.
3. Under Additional Setup, enable Use External URLs for product media.

When you enable the feature to use external URLs for product media, any product media added through Salesforce CMS is automatically hidden. Similarly, if you disable the feature to use external URLs for product media, any product media added through an external URL is automatically replaced by the Salesforce CMS media that was added earlier. The external URLs remain in the product details, but are hidden, and appears when the feature is turned back on.
4. In the B2B store navigation sidebar, select **Settings** | **Product**.
5. Under Product Readiness, click **Rebuild Score**.

The score changes if no product media is available.
6. In the navigation sidebar, select **Merchandising** | **Products**.
7. Click the product that you want to add media to.
8. Click **Add Product Media**.
9. Enter the product media URL, title, and alt text, and click **Add**.
10. Save your changes.
