Which Salesforce Commerce Product Do I Have?

  • Only the promotion segments that are assigned to the market apply to the products in the market. A store’s defaults for language, ship-to country, price book, and currency settings aren’t used after a segment is assigned to the market. These defaults don’t apply if you’re setting up a promotion segment in a buyer group.
  • A product uses the lowest price found in all of the store’s price books and markets. This behavior doesn’t apply if you’re setting up a new price book in a buyer group.
  • Only the entitlement policies assigned to a market are used. Entitlement policies assigned to buyer groups aren’t used.
  • If you haven’t assigned a ship-to country to a market or buyer group, the store’s ship-to country is used.
  • If you haven’t assigned a locale to a market, entities assigned to the market are ignored, and the store defaults are used. This behavior doesn’t apply when you assign locales to a buyer group.
  • Markets assigned to a store override the default search indexing behavior. If a store has markets assigned, only the locales associated with those markets are indexed. The supported languages defined in the store’s settings aren’t indexed. To make sure a locale is indexed, assign it to a market linked to the store.
